A while back I had just parked at the grocery store with the front of my 335xi facing out of the space, and this dude in a Camry stopped in front of me, rolled down his window, and asked, “is that a real M3?” probably in response to it being an M Sport.
I told him it was a 335xi, and he acted disappointed, then told me a story about how he’s been looking for a new car and if it was an M3 he would’ve paid me cash for it. As if I would’ve been jumping to sell the thing to him.
I get a surprising (to me) amount of attention about my car. To me it’s a mildly spiffed up looking BMW coupe that happens to be metallic royal blue, but people are always coming out of nowhere wanting to talk to me about it.

My M3 doesn’t get much attention, probably because it’s grey. I mean, I’d be excited if I saw your car; although I’m always excited to see manual M-sports.
I took my 328i to a cars and coffee once and there was this one guy who knew exactly what it was. He rolled up in a 250k mile E36 M3 sedan, and apparently had several other BMWs. He was like I would have made you an offer if I didn’t already have an E90 328i M-Sport. To the right person, our cars are pretty special.

I’ve decided in the last coupledays that I am officially on the lookout for an E90 M sport with the N/A six. This decision was of course also influenced by your posts.

Good luck with the search. Mine happened to pop up when I got in the market for a second car, pretty nice coincident.

Thanks, thankfully I live in one of the largest cities in Mexico so finding the right one won’t take that long.
